Home Again...

Two weekends ago, Bobby and I packed up our bags, and headed home for the weekend. After a long week of me being sick and Bobby having two exams, sleeping on the couch, caring for me, and being completely stressed out...we both felt the need to get away and to be home with our family and friends. The only sad part was that most of my family was out of town...poo. Dad and Mom where in Chicago, Christen was in Atlanta and Grandma was in Wilmington. Thankfully, Amy, Brian, the kiddos and Matt where there and so was Bobby's family.

We didn't tell Amy & Brian that we were coming back...I wanted to surprise them. So the first place we headed once we were back in town...was to see these little boogers...

Amy and Brian where there too and Amy was especially surprised to see us standing on her front porch! It was so fun to surprise them! We hung out for a while, ate dinner, listened to Gwee sing, played with the kids, chatted with Amy and Brian, and headed out to 316 to say hi to Bobby's family.

That night, we hung out with some friends and watched a movie. It was so fun to just be with our friends and have some good times together.

Saturday was a ton of fun! We got to go see Amy and Brian's new house...then we headed over to Rob's house to watch football and eat pizza. Jonathan came over too...so it was just me and the boys...watching football!

There's nothing quite like watching football with good friends. Rob is Bobby's best friend(besides me of course) and one of my very good friends...and pretty much just like family! We had a wonderful time being together, talking, laughing, eating...you know.

We left Rob's to head out to Bobby's parents house for the UVA game and steak! Unfortunately, the UVA game was on some random channel that we couldn't get...so we just watched the Georgia-Florida game which was quite entertaining. We had steak, broccoli salad, cornstuff & sweet tea for dinner! After dinner, I thought we should play a game...so Bobby said..."Ok...we could play poker...or we could go fishing!" Unanimous vote for fishing! As the boys went outside to get the fishing gear together, me, Jess, and Teresa got snacks and hot chocolate ready. A trip to Food Lion, Farm Fresh and sorting out fishing names and Clyde, Leroy, Betsey, Bonnie and Bumpkin hit the beach for a great time of fishing! Everyone caught a fish...except Leroy and Betsey(but Betsey wasn't fishing)...sorry Leroy!Me and the Girls
Leroy and Clyde...smelling the rotten bait
Mmm...that is one handsome man

Fish #1My love and I
Fish #2
Sunday after church we were able to eat lunch with Steve and Abbey. Matt also joined us...which was wonderful because although we had been staying in the same house for 3 days...I had not seen him until Sunday at church...how sad is that??
Sunday afternoon, we drove back to Richmond. We had a small delay with and encounter with a moldy salad from McDonalds...but hey, what do you expect? It's McDonalds! We got home safe and sound and very grateful for our amazing family and friends back home. Can't wait to see you all again!
